PHP5 Web Hosting

GlowHost is proud to announce PHP5 web hosting is available and is the default version of PHP on all shared and reseller web servers. All new Cloud VDS, Dedicated servers and Enterprise Cloud will also come with PHP5 pre-installed. This means our shared hosting customers and resellers can offer PHP5 web hosting to their customers at no additional charge.

PHP 5.3 Web Hosting

We offer PHP 5.3 upon request. Otherwise your account will be created on a machine that runs PHP 5.2. If you require PHP 5.3 just ask us and we will make sure that you have access.

PHP4 Web Hosting

We still offer PHP4 web hosting services, and PHP4 is installed on select shared and select reseller web servers as a secondary PHP. We will continue support for PHP4 as long as it remains stable and no known critical exploits are available. Support for PHP4 will be immediately and completely removed should any critical flaws be discovered. For this reason we recommend that you upgrade all scripts to PHP5 or choose scripts that work with PHP5. On these select machines, our configuration allows for both PHP4 and PHP5 to run side by side in the same user account.

MySQL5 Web Hosting

GlowHost is proud to announce MySQL5 web hosting is now available on all servers by default. If you need MySQL 4.1 web hosting we may be able to provide it to you on our Cloud VDS or Enterprise Cloud solutions. We recommend updating to MySQL5 as soon as possible as it typically a seamless update.
